About the tutor

My name is Rodney Little Jr. I am originally from Wilmington, Delaware, but now I make my residence in Newark, Delaware. Math has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a grade‑school student, I earned straight As in math (with the exception of Geometry), and as a child, I genuinely loved working with numbers.
That passion followed me into adulthood. I became the go‑to person for family, friends, and colleagues who needed help understanding math concepts. During my years in corporate America, I trained employees on various processes within the company — experience that strengthened my ability to teach clearly, patiently, and effectively. I bring those same skills into every tutoring session.
In 2012, I founded Math Made Easy of Delaware. What began as a part‑time passion grew into a full‑time mission in 2020 during the pandemic. Today, I dedicate my career to helping students build confidence, master essential math skills, and succeed academically.

Build rapport
My goal is to provide a positive and enlightening experience for the student. The student will then be open to learning new concepts. Communication is the key.
understand the basics
The basics start with understanding arithmetic. Mastering arithmetic provides a gateway to learn more complex math topics such as fractions, decimals, and algebra.
communicate and participate
A student who is willing to communicate his/her struggles with math, and participate in learning the steps to solving a math problem will improve. Communication + participation = growth.
Ask for help and ask questions
A student becomes truly empowered asking for help when a math concept does not make sense. Asking questions about a math concept show curiosity and engagement on the student's behalf.
